We sew, and these cards are cookin'! We drag out the sewing machine for these culinary, cooking, food, chef, cookbook, and other kitchen related notecards (and note cards!)
When we find something nifty, like last month at Michael's craft store, we like to make cards. Don't know what it is about paper, but the cutting, arranging, glue, and general resulting mess is very appealing to us! These yummy cards are sewn with metallic-shiny threads, and are colorful and fun! Panels are sewn, then attached to vibrant-colored textured card stock so the inside of your card isn't uglied up with stitching - let's face it, your clothing isn't attractive inside out, and neither would your cards be. The food part - dimensional stickers (meaning they are raised from the surface) of fruits, cakes, and stuff! Cool, funky, and handmade!
There's only 1 card available for each note card listed below!
This totally hot card features pink/orangey and yellow argyle pattern sewn with silver-metallic thread, with a row of 3 peaches. Yummy, we can't wait for peaches to be in season again!
Gorgeous blue and brownish ornamental paper is sewn with copper-metallic thread and features a picture of juicy red cherries.
Our polka dot paper is sewn with silver-metallic thread and features cherries, a basket of lemons, and strawberries for a fruity trio.
How hard IS it to sew a circle? It sucks, y'all! In any case, we think it's totally funkilicious! Features chocolate sticker "Forget love, I'd rather fall in chocolate". So would we! Nice painty striped paper with silver thread backed by purple paper.
Lemony goodness! Our lemon bowl is backed by yellow check paper and sits on a vibrant green background. This cool card is totally hot!
Tea, cupcake, and sewing goes together great! Our argyle pattern paper is sewn up in a square spiral with silver, and features a floral tea pot, teacup, and a cherry-topped cupcake. Yum!
Bright and cheerful yellow check paper and lemon trio is sewn with silver and backed with vibrant blue-green stock.
Our pretty striped paper is sewn with silver to show off a sweet, crusty pie. We hope it's a cherry pie, but it has a lemon on the plate; we are suspicious! Backed with brownish paper with a green tone. Hard to describe the color.
Can you say "funkalicious"?? We went crazy on this one, and it shows! Not for the faint of heart, this card with cherry-topped cake sits on a wild curved and torn background of polka dots.
Love-ly-ness! Pretty tea pot, teacup, and cherry-topped cake sewn with copper on a blue floral background and backed with pretty blue stock.
OK, then - we're plain, we're sewn, we're a peach...sometimes simple is best (isn't that from the Anne of Green Gables movie? I think it was "sometimes plain and simple is best" when Anne discovered the new dresses Marilla (sp?) were making didn't have puffed sleeves).
Sweet as Sugar! Ice cream and strawberries in a nifty dessert dish sewn with copper, our blue floral paper and yellow card stock.
A big juicy strawberry with pink orange and yellow argyle paper is funky and cool with alternate stitching, tears and rips, white space...very cool way to celebrate fruit!
A strawberry trio gets the full zig zag treatment in our fun card with copper sewn strips of yellow check paper. The paper surrounding the strawbs looks a bit pink here, but the color of that is white.
Delicious red fruit is surrounded by yellow checks and vibrant green-blue paper. Cheery cherries, strawberry, and a basket of fruit in the middle.
That's either a deep dish pie, or a cherry topped cake, we're not sure, but it looks uber groovy with yellow checks on glue-green stock. Sewn with copper thread.
Way cool angled strip of torn yellow check for a dramatic background for lemonade (as if lemonade could be dramatic - hey, we try everything here!). Sewn with copper, bright green backing.
We've ripped a new one with this fun and fresh lemon note card. Sewn with copper and backed with a yellowy green.
Everything's Just Peachy! Cool striped paper is sewn with silver and hosts a pitcher of milk and luscious peaches.
Life's a bowl of cherries, and it's even better when we sew it with silver and plunk it onto a purple card. Sew pretty!
